White Sapphires have the characteristic of being colorless or without color. Stones with visible color shades can have a lower value than White Sapphires that are cloudy or milky in appearance. This goes beyond their characteristic of soft and white glow. This goes beyond the distinctly soft nature of their white glow.

White Sapphire prices vary drastically by cut and shape. Cut quality greatly affects the quality and the appearance of the stone. The manufacturing process of highly faceted cuts such as emerald, asscher, and cushion cuts results in a large amount of stone waste throughout the process, leading to high market prices for White Sapphires. It is less costly to cut with oval and round shapes since there is less wastage.

White Sapphires are defined more by their clarity than by their color. Crystal inclusions, feathers, and surface scratches are factors that lower the price of White Sapphires in comparison to eye-clean stones that do not show any inclusions.

There are various stones that are treated to enhance their appearance and dissolve the inclusions. Heat-treated or lab -created stones have less value as compared to natural stones.

Note- It is important to understand that the price per carat of white sapphire increases significantly when you reach few carats in quality.
